2/9/2009 Check us out12/10/2008 Interview今天还是有史以来第一次坐在面试桌的另外一头，做了interview别人的人，而不是被interview的人。来面试的可是个牛人，清华毕业的，先后在CapitalOne，和WaMu做过，从简历上看来，过去几年，全职工作，还兼职念着PhD，简历上写得密密麻麻的，但受到这次financial crisis的影响，也不得不来到我们这个和金融没有任何关系的机构谋职。过去总是觉得，半个小时的交谈，能看出些什么来，其实不然。言谈之间，说到我们的工作，science, medical trials的时候，总觉得他心不在焉，但让他描述他的工作，说到housing price, credit, customer behavior, prepay loan, interest rate的时候，就觉得他眼睛一亮，眉飞色舞的。想必他面试之前，肯定也准备了许多为什么要转行的理由，但是passion这个东西，任你再聪明，终究还是装不出来的。
面试完以后，大家聚在一起，交换意见，没想到看法都相同，结果就可想而知了。
12/4/2008 无题好几个月了，差点都忘记了自己还有这么一个blog，今天上来看看，面目全非，MSN改版了好难看。不过懒得去改了。
几个月前，莫名其妙地陷入了一场找工作的混乱，兜兜转转，还是留在了原来的公司，不过换了一个组，星期一开始第一天上班。现在回想起来，几个月前的找工作，在这样的经济环境之下，真的是很危险，还好保住了饭碗。不过，大猫和小梅，如果你看到这篇blog的话，就要向你们道歉了，刚开始新的工作，圣诞节新年请不了假，不能去看你们了。 6/27/2008 Pictures上个周末开始整理照片，隔了一个月，记忆有点冲淡了，何时到了哪里都有点忘记了，于是又把旅程中的地图翻出来看看，所以整理得很慢，用了一个星期，才整理出六天的照片。旅程当中，总是会抱怨这儿那儿的，像是天下雨啊，太阳太大啦，人太多啦，队伍太慢啦，回看照片，一切却是那么的美好。一些不开心的细节，反而变成了有趣的回忆。看着照片，像又重游旧地，花开得那么的灿烂。
5/27/2008 Start of an endYesterday marked the end of our month-long trip to Europe. We are back to Seattle now. Wanted to post pictures here along the way, but found it challenging to find free wireless internet. So after London, finally gave up this plan. It might still be days before we sort out the pictures and post them here.
The feeling is kind of mixed towards the end of the trip. On one hand, I think I'll miss the constant traveling, the culture experience, the excitement, and sometimes just the purposeless wandering. On the other hand, we can't wait to get home. We are tired. I miss my cat, and believe it or not, even my coworkers. Afterall, after a while, European cities all look the same. But, all in all, it was a great trip.
The end of an advanture is the begining of a new one. Nostalgic as I once felt, getting used to not being on the road is still a difficult thing to do. Today I spent the whole morning trying to focus on my work. But, needless to say, the fact that I am writing this piece during work hours just goes to show you how much I have succeed. On top of that, we haven't done anything with our house since we moved in. Also, I probably need to jog down something in memory of this trip..........
